The iPhone is one of the widely used smart phones nowadays. It is an electronic device that provides various services to its users like messaging, playing games etc. If you are one of the Iphone users then there may be times when you forget or lost your passcode or locked out from using your phone by forget password. So here are the few easy steps which you can follow to reset iPhone without passcode or password.

The process involves two ways i.e. through iCloud and DFU mode available in iTunes. So lets start with the first way which occurs when your Iphone is able to connect with internet connection. Just go to Setting of your phone and after that go to iCloud option or you can also go directly from Safari browser. After going there enter your ID and Password of the account in which you have stored all important data. Once done, click on “Find my iPhone” button and then choose the device that is locked and think that it might be yours.

Next step would be to reset Iphone by clicking on “Erase iPhone” button. This would give you a warning message where you need to type in the word which is set by your Iphone settings and click “OK”. Now it will ask you whether you want this process to start right now or not. If your answer is yes then all data of your unlocked Iphone or tablet would be cleared.

However, if you are not getting the sign of “Find my iPhone” then this process will not work for you. This is because it needs internet connection to start this process. So here we have the second way available i.e. by using DFU mode in iTunes itself.

Now connect your Iphone with computer via USB cable. After that, download latest version of iTunes on your computer and open it. Now you need to press Power button and Home button together for 10 seconds until the screen goes black. The Apple logo will appear again after white color light emits from Iphone’s screen which means that your phone is well connected with iTunes now.

Once done, you need to click on Restore Iphone button in iTunes. If the download process is going well then a message would be displayed saying it will restore your phone to factory settings. Now wait for some time and your Iphone should be turned on again with all data deleted from it, so it might be a good idea to take a backup before doing this.

Note: You can also factory reset your Iphone without passcode or password if it is in DFU mode while pressing home button and power button. Hold both buttons for 10 seconds until you see an Apple symbol on the screen of your phone then release the buttons. Now click on Restore option in iTunes let it download data then choose setup as a new phone. This will clear all data from your Iphone

So, these are the two ways to reset iPhone without passcode or password which you can use whenever it is needed to restore your device. It is only required if you have lost your passcode or forgotten password of Iphone. You can go for either one way as per your need.
