Cool drawing ideas for your sketchbook

If you are looking for big and easy drawing ideas, I have some inspiring designs to flow your creativity. Now that I’ve spent so much time at home, I’ve decided to draw again. I loved browsing Pinterest to draw ideas for my sketchbook. It was fun and challenging to acquire unique drawing techniques. With every piece of art I create, I see my work getting better and better. So this is a challenge that was worth it.

Recently, I searched for exciting drawing references and found some pretty good cool drawings and sketches. It would be exceptional if I selected some of the art I discovered during my research. If you’re also looking for drawing ideas, illustrations, and references, I’m sure you’ll find some inspiration for your sketchbook in this post.

CHOOSE YOUR PENCILS

Before starting to draw, it is essential to choose the correct pencil. If you are new to drawing and are not sure which pencil grade, to begin with, I recommend that you start your sketch with a pencil on the H scale. You can finish your drawing with a darker pencil note, such as a pencil on the B scale.

THE DESERT IN THE BOTTLE

If you relish watercolor, I believe you will appreciate recreating this artwork that highlights the outside in a bottle. I love using this watercolor paint for my watercolor projects.

WEEPING EYES

These eyes have so much emotion, and they tell a story. I like the art style used here. Use these colored pencils to color your artwork. They promote your work reach out so rich.

THE PLANETS

I recreated this drawing, and I can tell you it was a lot of fun to draw. Use these colored pencils to color your artwork or finished artwork.

WATERCOLOR HYGIENE doodles

Cool drawing ideas

Here are some bit scribbles that were created with watercolor. I love the simplicity of these doodles. Hygge scribbles are always so easy on the eyes.

USE A LOG TO MIX

It can be challenging to get a good blend with pencils. However, you can create a soft bleed effect by using a stump. Deburring abutments are great for deburring graphite and carbon.

BALLOON AND FLOWERS

This flower globe design is straightforward to draw and perfect for beginners.

CAT AND CACTUS

Here is a charming drawing of a kitty attacked by a cactus. I thought this design would make a great greeting card for a friend.

WHALE WITH BUBBLES EASY DESIGN IDEA

This drawing of a whale is so cute and very suitable for beginners. I also like the choice of color used here. I love using these colored pencils to color my artwork or finished artwork.

TRY NOT TO BLEND

If you can, avoid smudging the design. You can fix a section of the paper beneath your hand to minimize the number of stains your hand will stain on the plan. It will help ensure a clean-looking drawing when completed. Remember, you can use colors to your advantage to soften the shading.

KOI FISH

This koi fish reference is perfect for advanced beginners. I like the addition of the flowers and the waves of the water.

Little bell

I enjoy drawing Disney characters, so I thought it would be fun to include a reference to Tinker Bell. You can paint your design if you need.

EMOTIONAL EYES

Here is another drawing that shows emotional eyes. Again, I love the art style used here. I also love how these designs are in black and white.

DO NOT MIX WITH FINGERS

When it’s time to mix, try not to combine with your fingers. When you mix with your fingers, the oils from your skin will transfer to the paper and affect your design’s look. Again, I recommend that you incorporate the stumps to mix your work.

CAMPING DOODLES

I love the aesthetics of these camping doodles. Included are a dye, s’mores, cup, bonfire, and more.

RICCIO WITH EMPANADAS

Isn’t this the cutest sketch of hedgehog moving hotcakes? I think it would be a lot of fun to draw and color it.

GIRL WITH RED BOOTS

I prefer the integrity of this drawing of a lady in red boots. And while it’s simple, it’s still an excellent design with a great art style.

PRACTICE DAILY SKETCHES

If you need to get good at sketching, the best thing you can do is practice every day. I recommend dedicating an hour a day to draw. Don’t worry that your work is perfect. You will naturally improve the more you train.

STATE SUNGLASSES

This creative design features five pairs of sunglasses, each representing a different state—what a clever idea.

GIANT OCTOPUS

I think you’ll have fun recreating this reference to a giant octopus if you have some time. I love the details involved in this design.

MODERN WITCH

This artwork features a stylish witch with birds on her shoulder. I love the colors used here.

PRACTICE OF DRAWING IN THE BLIND

Blind outline drawing is the practice of outlining a subject without looking at the paper. The blind outline drawing is helpful because it trains the eyes and hands to work as a team. Always help the artist to see all the features of the problem.

GIRL WITH TEARS

I admire the uniqueness of this art of a crying girl. It’s always fun to use creative art styles as a reference.

CLOUD EYES

This design is very creative and would probably be a lot of pleasure to draw. You can add glow to the clouds and leads to giving your drawing a different look.

EYES AND LIPS

Here are some excellent references for drawing eyes and mouths. I love the different expressions that are made here.

ADD COLOR

Adding color to your design can be a great way to make your design reach out. You can use dyed pencils, pastels, or regular watercolor paints to add color to your drawing.

THREE EYES GAMES

I love the look in these eyes. There is also an excellent reference for drawing closed eyes. For anyone interested, I am currently using Castle Art Supplies 26 pieces Sketch and Sketch Pencils for my sketches.

WHALE BLACK, WHITE, AND BLUE

This drawing of a fish is a brilliant work of art. I want to frame my complete plan. I use a Sharpie Fine Point pen to graphics like this. First, I draw lightly in pencil. Then I trace it with the felt-tip pen.

MUTE OF THE CAT

This art cat costume is so cute and creative. I love the mummy cat and the sweet corn cat.
